hi. i'm casey-jo [she/her].
i came here to love.
i breathe emotional literacy.
i practice & teach mindfulness.
i am an advocate for truth.

i offer one-on-one,
mindfulness based,
trauma-informed
therapeutic coaching
in the practice of
compassionate inquiry.

i am proud to offer non-conventional, no bs, therapeutic coaching. i help people break up with comfort zones and discover truths with creative expression, based in mindfulness, consciousness, the body, and awareness. we look at getting to the root of your suffering, pain, defences, and unconscious narratives that play out in your life, to have a more empowered ability to consciously create your life.

the greatest relationship is with oneself; from this relating to ourselves, we relate to everyone and everything else.

we carry compassion, wonder, and courage into every session, then out into the world. this involves doing the work: tackling your capacities, noticing habits, patterns, limiting beliefs, core emotions, stories, becoming a “curious scientist” of your life. it involves being with what is true, shedding protective layers, dis-identifying with who you have been told that you are, creating boundaries, pouring over some clarity, keeping your heart cracked open. developing openness, curiosity instead of fear, and creating a trust and faith within our minds, hearts, and intuition to move through this human experience in a way that is more informed, aware, and conscious.

the aim of my coaching practice is to offer you a non-judgemental and supportive space: we meet where your story is at and explore where you would like to see your story go, with a gentle emphasis on your mental and emotional well-being, and developing a greater and deeper sense of knowing your own being. my goal and intention is to cultivate the emergence of courage aka coeur-age [the heart]; the emergence of living through your heart [in congruence with your mind and own intuition].

why me? and why coaching?
i've always had this deep drive for connection, creating change, discovering meaning, and helping others feel seen, held, and heard. i have navigated the sea of trauma, grief, loss, and pain, through complex-ptsd, depression, anxiety, endometriosis, and most recently cervical cancer and fertility-loss. i identify as a spiritual seeker and have been committed to and working through my own healing for over 20 years via a variety of therapeutic processes, courses, and healing modalities. i’d love to show you how developing awareness, mindfulness, and becoming self-responsible can transform your life.
i’ve also been speaking with and creating connections to a wide audience of many kinds of people [professionally] for 17 years. some other roles i’ve held both personally and professionally are published writer, poet, commercial radio and television host, event speaker, certified meditation and mindfulness guide and practitioner, voice actor, podcast host, marketing maven, deep feeler, and highly sensitive person.
i’m currently practicing keeping my heart open, being with my own grief, and probably chasing my dog in the mountains somewhere in between reading too many books at one time [there is no such thing]. lately, i’m a big fan of breath work and the impact it can have on creating a soothed and grounded nervous system [embodiment is every thing!].

i seek to offer guidance through powerful questions of which we explore and engage in a collaborative experience
that turns some of the “why’s” of life into the “wise” and inner wisdom that each of us already innately access.

i aspire for you to feel empowered by our sessions together, and also feel less alone
while moving deeper into your interior relationship with yourself.

i acknowledge the immense courage, humility, and curiosity it takes to commit to learning about yourself,
to work on healing, and to co-create your life with the support of another.

i thank you for your trust, openness, and bravery.

What is Compassionate Inquiry?

“The purpose of the Compassionate Inquiry is to drill down to the core stories people tell themselves
– to get them to see what story they are telling themselves unconsciously; what those beliefs are,
where they came from; and guide them to the possibility of letting go of those stories,
or letting go of the hold those stories have on them …

That’s what Compassionate Inquiry is.”

nice things other people say about me

i’ve spoken with close to a dozen coaches and counsellors over the last 7 years and it wasn’t until i started having session with casey-jo that i truly felt like i started healing. the coaching sessions i have with cj feel like i’m talking with a long time friend, one that i trust and respect, and feel at ease talking with. her ability to listen, ask questions that promote thought and provide answers, and give meaningful and valuable feedback is a breath of fresh air that has helped me to be happier and feel like i’m making progress in my goal of being mentally healthier and stronger. i’ve discussed a myriad of topics with casey-jo, from death and grief, to relationships, family life, depression, anxiety, work life, and finding a way to balance the emotions and experiences that come with all of those topics. casey-jo has undoubtedly helped me to understand and manage my thoughts and emotions in a way that is making me a happier person; one that is more capable of self-reflection and confident in my decisions. whether you’re trying coaching for the first time, or you’ve tried so many coaches that you’ve felt like giving up on the idea of a life coach, i would absolutely recommend casey-jo. it could end up making a big difference in your life. it absolutely has for me.

thank you for making me feel SO SO SEEN. during a time when all we crave is connection, your empathy, awareness, and gentleness was something that helped me walk through a lot of anxiety and pain in a way that was refreshing (and dare I say perhaps even fun?). thank you thank you thank you for making me cry in a good way.
— alicia, vancouver
casey-jo’s radical openness, gentle accessibility, and deeply authentic connection to the subject matter make working with her an easy place to fall into and instantly feel at “home.” her presence is radiant and palpable. with wise discretion and flexibility, she crafts a customized experience that leaves you feeling engaged, connected, seen, and loved.
— jonathan, illinois
casey-jo has helped me many times over the years living in the shadow of depression and trauma with incredible honesty and through articulating emotions and thoughts that i surely thought i was alone in experiencing. her kindness, honesty, humour, and resilience is remarkable. i am sincerely thankful to have met her, as well as the other lovely people she brought together through a group coaching experience on mental health and wellness.
— alyssa, vancouver
casey-jo sits with you and your emotions and your truth. she allows you to find comfort and trust in sessions with her, along with a pure acceptance that helps you navigate your life, your thought, and your way. i am looking forward to the hour of my sessions every week, because this is the only place i felt i can simply be, without any judgement. thank you for the unique experience of connection, engagement, and wisdom.
— nogol, vancouver
casey-jo is the most understanding soul and is so easy to talk to; she exceeded my expectations since day one. after our first session, i could feel and see a big difference and knew that i’d be booking more. she makes you feel safe, seen, and heard when you may need it the most. casey-jo is a bright shining light on a “normal” day and especially during the wildest, most uncertain times that we are currently trying to navigate. i highly recommend her to anyone who is searching for answers, searching to find themselves again, or simply needing someone to listen.
— jamie, langley
her ability to make you feel seen, not alone, and feel safe with is a gift.
— shaun, surrey
casey-jo has an uncanny ability to truly see and understand my emotions and struggles. 2020 has brought such big feelings of loneliness, uncertainty, and worry, and throughout this she has been able to help me set goals, channel my energy into different and more productive ways, and help me take control back in my life. no matter what part of your life you want to improve, from work to relationships to your own self, casey-jo is the first person i’d recommend talking to!
— kevin, new west
a lighthouse for people of all walks of life, casey-jo is someone whose heart is open and always willing to be of service. she has devoted much of her life to being an advocate for those who suffer from mental illness and also for those who are often unheard and unseen. she has an innate depth of understanding of life that makes people drawn to her. she is someone who is always looking for the greater good and wants to be a part of making the world a better place.
— chloe, sunshine coast
i was in a peer support group that was put together by casey-jo and it was incredibly helpful. she went out of her way to prepare materials to guide the group, she fostered a safe and secure environment for people she barely knew, and made us feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable with one another. that’s a rare skill and a true testament to her leadership abilities. casey-jo is a person who, at a base level, is empathetic, selfless, and caring. on top of that, she is relentlessly hard working, humble, and absolutely brilliant. casey-jo is a bright light. we need more casey-jo’s.
— dan, victoria
casey-jo’s radiant spirit, compassion, and wisdom has been a blessing. to know there is someone who speaks her truth is not only refreshing it has been a true gift to me in my darkest times. she makes magic happen through her empathy. she is the perfect example of how great the world can be when there are authentic people with beautiful hearts and souls championing for humanity, inclusivity, understanding and love.

donate a coaching session

donate a session to a youth in need who may not currently have the privilege for or access to support.

coaching and other modalities of healing or mental health support is unaffordable for many people. the frustration is that, in western society, there is a distinct division created between physical health and mental health, but they are so often intertwined and truly connected that there is really only health. our current systems are not set up that allows people who need it the most to have access to that support, for their health, on all levels; many young people do not have access to the support that they need. it is part of my coaching practice to support others who may be marginalized. at this time, i am grateful to offer free coaching support for any youth in need. if you identify as this, you can book your complimentary session here.

if you’re in a position to contribute or help, 100% of the funds goes towards honouring youth in need in our community that need support via session.

thank you for your tender care.
